What is the Occupational Therapy worksheet for elementary school about?
Occupation therapy is an allied health profession (professions that are distinct from nursing, medicine, clinical psychology or pharmacy) that involves the use of everyday tasks, roles or job descriptions to treat physical, cognitive, behavioural and emotional conditions (Finlan, n.d.). With the help of an occupational therapist, a client assesses the tasks or activities (schooling, working or engaging in leisure activities) that are important to him or her and works towards being independent again following the treatment of a mental or physical condition, so that they can resume the roles (occupations) that define them whether at elementary school. Occupational therapy can therefore be used to help young children regain independence in activities such as eating, walking, showering, working or taking part in leisure activities.
