What is a food log worksheet?
On a day-to-day basis, we consume a variety of foodstuffs. A food log, also known as a food journal, is used to keep a record of what we eat and drink at different intervals during the day and, therefore, assists us to understand our eating habits.
How does a Food Log Worksheet help?
A food log worksheet, makes you aware of what you consume. Once you are conscious of your eating habits, you can then proceed to make any necessary adjustments. This can be to improve or sustain a healthy dietary plan, lose weight, maintain a healthy body mass index or strengthen your immune system.
Instructions on how to use the Food Log Worksheet
To use the food log, log in the time the food was eaten for instance ( 9:0 am), followed by the quantity consumed for example, (two servings), then add a detailed log of the type of food (for example fried fish with…) including any extras such as dressings, sauces, and toppings. Besides these, Include the place you had your meal for instance, (at the school cafeteria) and finally the activity, if any, is done when having your meal. Remember to fill the information as soon as possible instead of relying on your memory later.
