Family Therapy worksheet version 2

On this page, we will provide you with a family therapy worksheet that will help you spend productive time as a family.

What is a family therapy worksheet about?

Family therapy is a form of talk therapy that focuses on resolving problems being experienced in a family unit. It helps each family member to resolve their personal issues that may be affecting their relationship with other members of the family. Family members may have different opinions on how to share roles, bring up children, finances, intimacy, among other family issues.

There are many family therapy worksheets that have been developed to help in resolving the issues faced in the family. They include; good qualities worksheets that focus on magnifying positive attributes of each family member, family questions activities that improve awareness and bonding, identifying and resolving root causes of familial conflicts that help resolve underlying causes of conflicts, developing empathy worksheet and improving communication worksheets.

How will the family therapy worksheet help?

The worksheet we have provided you with is called family questions activities. It is a fun and effective activity for helping the members of the family know each other well. It also enhances bonding, affection and improving the relationship amongst yourself. The worksheet is suitable for married couples or can be done by the whole family (father, mother and children). Siblings can also decide to carry out the activity and see how well they know their brothers and sisters.

Instructions on how to use the family therapy worksheet

Choose a team leader. The team leader will provide each family member with a piece of paper. Write down all your family members’ names, including your own. The team leader will read out the questions provided out loud and each member will answer the questions. Each member is encouraged to read out loud the answers they put for themselves and others will compare with the guesses they wrote. Use the time for sharing as an opportunity to explore your answers. Note down answers that are very similar or very different. This can be useful during treatment.
